Last month Malorie developed a high fever and we found out she has a urinary tract infection. Because a UTI in an infant is usually a sign of a more serious problem our pediatrician ordered some tests for Malorie.

Yesterday we went to Phoenix Children's Hospital for a series of tests. She was a trooper. She had an ultrasound and a VCUG scan. It was determined that she has what is called

Vesicoureteral Reflux.

Malorie has graduated to only wearing her shoes and bar when sleeping. Her feet are perfect and she wears her shoes when she sleeps to keep them that way. She has gotten so big 16 lbs 10 oz - she is such a happy happy girl and we are so in love !!!!!

Yesterday was my 21st Birthday and Malorie's blessing day. The most wonderful gift I could ever ask for. A sweet baby girl and a wonderful husband who honors his preisthood.

Trent gave Malorie the most wonderful blessing.

I share my birthday with my grandma and so it was a special day for both of us.

If you never went through difficulties, how would you know that I am a Deliverer ?
If you never had a trial, How could you call yourself an over comer?
If you never felt sadness, How would you know that I am a Comforter ?
If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I am Forgiving ?

Just like raising our own children, our Heavenly Father loves us enough to allow us the experiences in life that will help us to grow, become stronger and teach us.

Even though we can't seem to find all the answers right now, with enough faith I know that my Heavenly Father will guide us.

The most important thing right now is trying to figure out how to stay home with Malorie - for the moment it does not seem financially possible. But we are open and willing to see what the Lord has in store for us. Whatever sacrifice needs to be made we are willing to make it.

This little girl LOVES taking a bath. She is in her shoes and bar 23 hours a day. So when daddy comes home at night we take it off for one hour and she gets a nice long bath (which she LOVES) and then she gets a nice lotion massage and daddy exercises her feet really well (isn't it awesome to have a daddy that is going to be a physical therapist - lucky Malorie)

My mom is helping out and staying with Marge at a hotel this weekend becuase Marge's AC went out. So to keep my mom company and put a smile on Marge's face Trent and I decided to go visit. Trent went swimming with my brothers and Malorie and I stayed up in the room and visited with mom and Marge.

Malorie has a way of putting a smile on everyones face.

Malorie looks super big sitting on Marge's lap, but the reality is Marge is very fail and tiny. But if the one thing at the end of Marge's life that makes her really happy is babies and we sure know how to wake her up and bring a smile to her face.

Mia Hamm Womens Olympic Soccer Player and played on the US team that won the 1996 Olympics was born with clubfoot.

Kristi Yamaguchi was born with clubfoot and underwent serial casting just like Malorie and had shoes and a bar and is now one of the greatest figure skaters in all the world.

And there are many other celebs born with clubfoot that you can see here . . . .

One day Malorie's name with be added to that list, because she is going to grow up to do great things !!!!!

So yesterday was Trent and I's first time back to the temple since Malorie was born. We decided to make a date out of it! I was so excited becuse things were getting so crazy around here we have not been able to enjoy just US! So we decided that when Trent got off work we would head over to Grandma's aka (mimi - my mom). As sooon as Trent got home my smile beamed from ear to ear! We headed off to my Mom and Dads house (the whole car I was soo excited!) We arived at their house and my heart sunk. I whispered over in Trent's ear and said are you sure you want to leave her. I couldnt imagine being away from my baby girl! For those of you who didn't know I recently quit my job so that I could stay home with Mal. With everything going on with her feet and such we decided there is no one better to take care of her than her mommy. Anyways, we said our goodbyes and headed down to Mesa. It was so nice to have spent time with Trent, he truly is a remarkable man and I am so lucky I get to spend eternity with him. We sat in the temple for awhile just smiling and telling eachother how much we love eachother. It's the best. We are more in love today than we were the day we got married.

Believe it or not Malorie only needed 3 sets of casts. She did amazingly well and feet responded perfectly to the treatment. Normally (80% of the time) they always end up doing a tenotomy where they go in an clip the achiles tendon - but Malories had really good dorsiflexion in her foot and so she was able to go straight to her Ponseti Shoes and bar which she will need to wear full time for 3 months and then she will only need to wear them at bedtime and naptime until she is between 5 - 7 years old (this prevents any type of relapse) So by the time she is 4 1/2 months she will not wear the shoes and bar during the day so it will not interfere with any of her normal development. Malorie has been such a good baby through all of this. She is the best baby ever !

So the plan is to have Jamie take a picture of Malorie and this cute pink teddy bear and each of her monthly photo sessions so we can see how she is growing (Malorie, not the teddy bear)

and here she is at 1 month old. We will get an updated weight today at the doctor, last week she was 7lbs 13oz and I am sure she be over 8lbs today !!

How fortunate we are to live near Phoenix Childrens Hospital. Where the only orthopedic surgeon

Dr. Lee Segal MD in the state of Arizona who is certified to use the Ponseti method to treat clubfoot. Dr. Segal and his PA actually trained with Dr. Ponseti. How blessed we are.

We feel blessed that we have found the perfect doctors to treat our perfect little princess.

BABY MALORIE!!!

this picture was taken in august. little did i know i was pregnant and was about to soon start nourishing a baby inside of me! Did you know we took 4 pregnancy test and they all came out negative!

13 weekaroo's!!
23 weekaroos! 26 weekaroos! Oh the joys of pregnancy! When i don't think i can get bigger i do. This morning i felt this big knot in my stomach much to my surprise in the mirror i found that my belly button is popping out of my tummy! woe baby!Oh... but i cant lie i have loved having MALORIE in my tummy she is a little firecracker.I enjoy having something so amazing grow inside of me.She sleeps most of the morning and afternoon and keeps me up all night. I'm starting not to mind it as much anymore. She is about two pounds now! (THE DOCTOR SAYS" Morgan your baby is very reasonably sized") She is very healthy.. some pictures at the top! everything is going great.

The baby's room is actually almost done.. Thanks to my lovely mother... that's what those pictures are of the bedroom. OH and did you see all those clothes! yes Malorie is very spoiled.. We are so excited for this baby to be born. 15 WEEKS LEFT! I can't begin to tell you how excited I am. In the begging of my pregnancy I had no energy! Lately I can't sit still, I just want to be up doing stuff. I super cleaned my house this week and now I'm not only doing yoga I'm doing this DVD called "fit mama". I guess you can call it my secret obsession. I'm learning to salsa! But I don't show my moves to anyone... if you could only see a big pregnant woman doing the "sexy salsa" oh it makes me blush..HOW EMBARRASSING. But I do just love it!

Lets see what else has been going on oh yesterday I chopped off all my hair!!yup well not all of it but a good amount. I actually like it!

So i thought I would be really good at this blog thing. I failed to realize that married life is very busy. Busy as a bee?Hmm - not quite - just too busy to blog. Last weekend I went and I saw Julia vs Julie. Perfect movie to inspire me to blog. If you haven't seen it then GO! Anywho - life is grand. Except for the fact that my hours have been cut at my job. I keep praying that soon we will pick up. All my kids have left for kindergarten. What a sad day that was for me. My baby Brandon was a tough one to loose. How can you become so attached to someone elses child. He was the 2nd light of my life. (my husband gets number 1 of course!) He indeed made my job worth it in everyway. I can't believe how fast the school year came and went.

Let's see what else has happened since the last blog. Oh Trent and I got a way for my birthday. We got an AMAZING I mean AMAZING deal at the Hilton. It was such a fun weekend. I guess you can say that's the best part about being married - getting to spend those special moments with your best friend. He's awesome. Well the night of my birthday we went out to eat at Olive Garden. Sadly but surely I got food poisoning - woke up around 2 in the morning and was in the bathroom till around 5. What a good man Trent is - he ran to the closest gas station to get me some sprite and pepto! He really does a great job at taking care of me. I appreciate him very much ! i got my permit FINALLY. So excited about it too. My husband is very happy:)

What a fun weekend. Its always nice to get away! I loved spending time with our family! Its always so wonderful to be in cooler weather. It was about 85 degrees durning the day and like 65 at night. We ended up staying at mormon lake and on saturday we went out to slide rock! It was very intense we learned that if we go again we will need to wear some anti slide shoes.. I tottally damaged my knee.But anyway it was such a fun weekend. I loved it!

Todd and Anna were sealed for time and all eternity with there son on Saturday. I am so sad I missed it. I heard only wonderful things and I am so excited to have this new addition to the family. I heard the wedding was such a rich experience and that the sealing session was unforgettable. I'm excited for the newest Archer family. I love you guys! Here are some pictures Trent took! I'm sooo sad I missed it. But I'm glad I get to have a new sister in law and nephew!!

Girls weekend!

Trent went to Mexico for Todd and Anna's wedding. So I got the weekend all to myself. Friday night I went to spend time with Coleton and Logan and my Mom and Dad! It's always nice to spend time with them! My crazy father woke me up on SSaturday morning just like he did in high school. I used to say "dad if you touch that light i will beat you up" This time i just laughed! It was pretty funny! I can't believe I forgot how loud that house was! I am enjoying my little apartment with my hubby. It's nice to have some quite time:) But I do miss my crazy family. Saturday Grandma Jean and I went to a 1:30 session at the temple. Every time I attend my testimony gets stronger and stronger. There is no place I would rather be than there. Later that night I had my girlfriends over! That was way fun - I have missed them. I haven't seen them since before my wedding! We giggled, laughed,ate pizza and watched "shopaholic"! They reminded me that married people have friends too! I committed to have a girls night at least once a month! So I better hold to that. Well although it has been an amazing weekend. I sure do miss my hubby!! I can't wait till he comes home. It's been the longest we have been away from each other!! I am counting down the hours till he is here again. You never really realize how much you appreciate someone till they are gone! I love my life and my wonderful husband. Well all is well in the Archer home!

I'M A BLOGGER!

Well on the fourth I had the honor of having my mom "pimp" out a blogspot for me. So i guess now I'm obligated to update all of you on my life. It's been a little over a month since I took on the Archer name. A month filled with exciting things. Honeymooning, Receptions and all the fun stuff newlyweds do. Boy do i love it!!!! I am married to my best friend. We recently had our "FIRST DISPUTE" we don't fight. But the the silly thing is - it didn't last longer than a few long minutes. It ended with lots of hugs and kisses! We love each other I have to say. Well today we went over to Travis and Mayte's. Todd was in town for a couple of days, so we got to spend time with him. What an exciting week for him. He gets married on July 11th. He looks so happy. I get a new sister in law and a new nephew! I am so excited for that. We spent time with the Archers. We went to Travis's ward and then came home and ate. I must say Mayte is like a goddess. She always cooks from scratch. LIKE EVERYTHING! I'm jealous - but I'm always getting recipes from her so maybe that will be me in a couple years. It was so nice spending time with Sophi she is the cutest girl in the world. I love her! We got home around 9:30. Now it is almost 11 so i must go to bed or i'll be soo tired. (although i diffidently over slept this weekend)
